From the DIRECTOR'S Desk

Dear Delegates,

At a time when the rhetoric against the United Nations relevance is getting louder, NVMUN 9.0 is all set for its deliberation! We believe that perhaps more than any other time the UN is indispensable. We must not look at what the UN has been unable to prevent or solve, but we must look at the larger picture and realize that each of these volatile situations could have been much worse, but the UN carefully prevented their escalation into a World War or Nuclear Exchange. It is forums like the MUN which have put pressure on world leaders and the Security Council / General Assembly to pour calming water to disable the fire from spreading further.

This year we have several committees which will debate national and international issues and find solutions to the various problems. Some of them are - Security Council, Human Rights Council, Continuous Crisis, World Health Organization, Women, Lok Sabha the International Press etc.

I wish the Organising Committee and the Executive Board all the best for a Very Successful NVMUN!

From the PRINCIPAL'S Desk

Dear Students and Delegates,

It is with great pride that I welcome you to the Monsoon Festival 2025 and to the 9th edition of Nath Valley Model United Nations—NV MUN 9.0.

At Nath Valley School, we believe that education must go beyond textbooks—it must shape global citizens. Our MUN is designed to do just that. NV MUN 9.0 is not just another conference. It is a carefully curated simulation that encourages students to think deeply, speak confidently, and act responsibly on issues that affect our world.

What sets NV MUN apart is its emphasis on quality research, meaningful debate, and student-led organization. Our committees are designed to challenge participants to consider diverse perspectives, while our experienced Executive Board ensures that every delegate receives constructive feedback and guidance. Over the years, NV MUN has created a space where leadership is nurtured, diplomacy is practiced, and critical thinking thrives.

For many students, NV MUN becomes a turning point—where public speaking anxiety turns into articulate confidence, and passive learning transforms into active engagement with real-world challenges.

Through this experience, our students don’t just represent countries—they learn to listen, negotiate, build consensus, and lead with empathy.

As part of the Monsoon Festival, NV MUN 9.0 reflects Nath Valley’s commitment to holistic education. I thank our team of students and faculty mentors who have worked with dedication to make this event a benchmark of excellence.

I warmly welcome all participating schools and delegates. May this conference inspire thoughtful conversations, meaningful friendships, and a deeper understanding of our interconnected world.

With best wishes,
Dr. SWARUP DUTTA
Principal

FROM THE SECRETARY GENERAL

Dear Delegates,

It is with great honour and excitement that I welcome you to the ninth edition of Nath Valley Model United Nations.

NVMUN has always stood as a platform for voices to be heard, for opinions to be challenged, and for young minds to come together in pursuit of solutions to some of the world's most pressing issues. Having served as the Deputy Secretary-General in the previous edition, I had the privilege of witnessing the passion, intellect, and integrity with which our delegates approached debate and diplomacy. This year, as your Secretary-General, I am both proud and humbled to carry forward this legacy.

As global citizens, we are constantly navigating complex challenges that demand informed perspectives, open minds, and collaborative effort. NVMUN 9.0 is your space to do just that — to question, to listen, to lead, and most importantly, to learn.

Over the course of the conference, you will step into the shoes of diplomats, grapple with real-world crises, and explore multifaceted global narratives. I urge you to be curious, to be respectful, and to be bold.

To the first-timers, I assure you: nerves are natural, but so is the thrill of finding your voice. To our returning delegates, I hope you find new perspectives and push your own boundaries. And to each and every one of you — thank you for being a part of this journey. I look forward to two days filled with spirited debate, meaningful resolutions, and lasting memories.

Warm regards,

Preksha Bothara
